Argenis Taveras High School Principal/Math Teacher |
|
Argenis Taueras has spent his five years of teaching math at the Fountain of Life School. He teaches math to 7-12th graders and teaches Bible. He sees 122 students daily. He says his students are always obedient and respectful When asked why he chose to work at the FOL, he responded, "I didn't choose to work here; God wanted me to work here." He believes a Christian education is important because the Bible says, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when is old, he will not turn from it." He also said the most important thing for children/young people to learn is the Word of God and how to serve Him. He has been helping several boys in their spiritual growth and name two young men in particular. He knows everything is different in his own life since he became a Christian and God is first in his life.

Maria Rafaela Doble, "Nena" Computer Teacher |
|
Maria Doble, better known as Nena, is teaching various aspects of computers to 140 students at the Fountain of Life School. She would like to have a larger classroom, more computers so the students do not need to share machines, and a printer.
Nena enjoys teaching at the Fountain of Life School for several reasons. She enjoys the communication teachers share, the freedom to speak of Jesus to students, and to watch the change that occurs in students' minds and hearts through the Word of God. She recognizes changes in her own heart and character as well.
She has a student who wants to know all that she knows and to become like her. She told him that God will teach him in His own time and that he's special just like he is. She's honored that someone wants to be like her.
Nena wants to see her community change and says, "If I can help, I'll do it." Nena hopes to come to the United States for a summer and is working toward making that happen.

Roberto Araujo King Social Studies Teacher |
|
Roberto Araujo King has taught for three of his four years at Fountain of Life School. He teaches Social Studies to 7-12th grades, and would like to have some maps for his classroom. He chose to teach at FOL so he could teach about Jesus and enjoy a Christian environment.
He said, "Jesus is the greatest teacher and His teaching is the best, and if we follow it, we will be better." He also said that the students at FOL are more conscientious of their need for God.
Roberto told of two Catholic students who would not listen to devotions, but they wrote him letters and asked many questions. Today the both are Christians!!!!

Rebecca Dzimiaski Art/Music Teacher |
|
Paul and Linda McMillan were looking for goats and God gave the school a music teacher.
Rebecca Dzimianski joined the Fountain of Life teaching staff in 2009, and teaches music and art. She is from North Georgia, where her family has a small farm with dairy goats (thus the initial contact with the ministry in Juan Tomás). Rebecca graduated from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA, with a BA in Instrumental Performance. She plays the cello and piano, and has been excited to share the gift of music with the students of Fountain of Life School.
Teaching music and art in classrooms and in SPANISH has been a new experience for Rebecca. She is grateful for the help and encouragement she has received from all of the other teachers, and blessed by the enthusiasm that many students have for the subject. She believes that music and art represent an opportunity to share the Gospel message in an effective way, because they can touch the mind and heart in a way that a regular lecture or devotional can't. Her prayer is that God will use her class to transform the students' lives just as He transformed hers.

Ingrid Aquino English Teacher |
|
Hi, My name is Ingrid Aquino. I’ve taught for 9 years and I really like it. I’m one of the English teachers. I teach from 7th grade up through the 12th grade.
I consider myself highly favored because of the privilege to serve God teaching. I have the opportunity to teach students what the main purpose of life is: to glorify God and enjoy him. It’s a honor to be able to know the students and to help them to make decisions not based on the temporal results but on eternity.
What I like the most of it is that teaching is the way God has chosen for me to serve him and I want to be faithful to my calling. Also there is nothing compared to the joy I can feel when one of this children or teenagers receive Christ as their Savior.

Ramon "Orlando" Giron
|
|
Ramon Orlando Giron has taught for three years but is new to Fountain of Life School this year. He meets with all ages of students at the school; therefore, he sees about 75 students a day.
He enjoys sharing God with his students and knows that "the Word of God never will be forgotten for them." He can distinguish the Christian students from others because they act differently.
When asked "What difference has God made in your life?" he answered "He has transformed my life and now I am a new young man, a happy man." He would like to visit the United States to know others who are Christians and to learn from them so he can help others.
A radio or DVD player would be helpful in his classes.

Agustina Robles Elementary English and High School French Teacher |
|
Grace and Peace may be added to you in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
My name is Agustina Roble. First of all I want to thank God and then Paul McMillan who gave me the opportunity to work here at Fountain of Life Christian School when I needed it the most. At that time I believed that I was alone in life, God placed someone in my life to help me. That person was Paul McMillan who gave me the opportunity to work here. I didn't have a job at that time and my father had suddenly passed away. I didn't know how to pay for my studies and help my mother with the expenses at home because she couldn't work for some health problems she has. So my oldest sister was the only one who helped us.
My experience working here has been wonderful. It has helped me to grow spiritually. It's a privilege to study God's word before starting the work of the day. I thank God for being here.

Kenia Jimenez
Kindergarten Teacher |
|
Hi friends, I’m Kenia Jimenez. I’m the Kindergarten teacher. I have 15 students, have wonderful parents and 8 siblings. Most of them live abroad.
This my first year working as a teacher and it’s been really special to be able to know people who love God and are able to work with children. Working in Fountain of Life has helped me to grow spiritually. I have learned more how to praise God and to follow his commands. I have also learned that I have to know people before judging them.
I consider teaching a privilege because you teach the children about God, good values and good attitudes and above all to love because love is the fulfillment of the law. My students have learned to respect each other and to get alone with each other. They have understood how God loves them and how great and wonderful his love is. They have learned that they should not worship idols but rather God. I feel happy been a teacher.
